Planning a mural begins with a theme or a concept. One might
collect reference materials, do thumbnail drawings, then
the composition, and further detail drawings. Computer graphics is
often utilized, and sometimes the project is involved enough to
warrant 3-D drafting. The hand drawn plans exhibited below for
children's rooms: never executed. Plans change once the concept
gels and people see the layout. The top composition I
titled, "The Storyteller".
